Description:

The PACData application provides real-time remote monitoring capabilities for the Productivity Series Programmable Control product line offered by Automationdirect.com. For optimal functionality, a Productivity CPU that supports remote connectivity is required.

Main features include:
<ul>
<li>Monitoring of designated discrete and integer variables within the PLC</li>
<li>Access to Alarm and Event History logs</li>
<li>The iOS Zoom feature facilitates detailed inspection of specific values and enables users to save screen captures as needed</li>
<li>Enhanced security through separate login credentials to safeguard sensitive data</li>
</ul>

Compatibility and requirements:
<ul>
<li>All current Productivity CPUs support the PACData application</li>
<li>The Productivity CPU must be operating firmware version 1.1.13.x or later</li>
<li>Programming and configuration of the CPU require Productivity Suite Software version 1.0.8.x or later</li>
<li>The CPU’s network settings must be compatible with the device running PACData or be accessible via the Internet</li>
</ul>

Security considerations:
<ul>
<li>While password protection can be configured within PACData, connecting the Productivity CPU over an enterprise network or the Internet introduces potential security vulnerabilities</li>
<li>Implementing a secure, encrypted Virtual Private Network (VPN) is strongly recommended for internet accessibility, as VPNs utilize encryption and security protocols to ensure that only authorized users can access the device and that transmitted data remains protected. This approach significantly mitigates risks associated with malicious activity and unauthorized access</li>
